Match Highlights | County 2-1 Kidderminster

The match highlights from Saturday’s comeback victory against National League North side Kidderminster Harriers are now available.

Check out all of the action, as County responded to an early set-back to end their pre-season campaign with a sixth successive victory.

Despite starting on the front foot, the Hatters fell behind in a game for the first time since facing Rochdale over a month ago, as former County striker Amari Morgan-Smith fired home via a deflection.

County were not to be deterred, however, and just before half-time were awarded a penalty as Mark Kitching was hacked down inside the penalty area – our first spot-kick since April 2019, when Sam Walker scored against Chester.

It was John Rooney taking responsibility this time, however, and he slammed it into the top corner to restore parity at the break.

Into the second-half, and County continued to dominate – striking the woodwork late on following a goalmouth scramble, before with seven minutes left, the pressure told.

And for the second week running, it was substitute Nyal Bell with the decisive contribution, getting on the end of Sam Minihan’s low cross to fire into the roof of the net, and hand County the victory.
