Referee Matthew Russell has been selected to take charge of Monday night’s League Two fixture away at Crawley Town.
The game will be Russell’s first as a referee in the EFL, having refereed in the National League so far this season. He last refereed County during the 2019/20 campaign, overseeing our away wins at Dover Athletic and Maidenhead United, whilst it will be his first time officiating Crawley Town.
The official took charge of 13 games in the National League last season, during which time he issued 20 yellow cards, one red card and awarded four penalties.
So far this season he has overseen 13 first-team fixtures in the National League and Bristol Street Motors Trophy, showing 40 yellows and two reds, whilst he’s yet to award a penalty this season. His last game came in the National League on February 20th, overseeing Bromley’s 2-2 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Assistant Referees on Monday will be Anthony Da Costa and Garry Maskell, whilst Carl Brook will be on Fourth Official duties.
