Referee Martin Coy has been selected as the man in the middle for our Boxing Day fixture away at Barrow AFC in League Two.
Coy’s only previous occasion refereeing County came back in January, as he oversaw our 0-0 draw with Bradford City at Edgeley Park. He has already taken charge of one game involving Barrow this season – refereeing their 1-1 draw away at Newport County in September.
The official took charge of 18 games in all competitions last season, mostly in League One and League Two, during which time he issued 47 yellow cards, three red cards and awarded five penalties.
Across 13 games so far this campaign, Coy has shown 58 yellow cards, three red cards and given six penalty kicks. His last game in charge came in League Two on November 25th, overseeing Crewe Alexandra’s 3-2 win over Doncaster Rovers.
The Assistant Referees at the SO Legal Stadium will be Simon Clayton and Darren Williams, whilst David Mcnamara will be on Fourth Official duties.
