The match officials have been confirmed for Tuesday’s Papa John’s Trophy Northern Group C game against Port Vale, with referee Sebastian Stockbridge set to take charge of the tie.
Stockbridge has refereed six games so far this season – three in League One, two in the Carabao Cup and one in League Two, and in that time he has shown 16 yellow cards and two red cards. In total during the 2021/22 season, he oversaw 37 games, issuing 116 yellows and five reds.
He last refereed Port Vale in their League Two play-off semi-final win against Swindon Town in May, whilst his last game involving County came all the way back in December 2012, taking charge of a 2-2 draw with Telford at Edgeley Park.
His assistants on the day will be Oliver Bickle and Jake Topp, whilst the fourth official will be Matt Corlett.
