Tom Reeves has been confirmed as the match referee for Saturday’s League Two meeting between Accrington Stanley and County at the Wham Stadium.
The official refereed County on two occasions in League Two last season; our game away at Crewe Alexandra in January and our final day meeting with Hartlepool United at Edgeley Park, both of which finished 1-1. He also took charge of two games involving Accrington in League One during the 2022/23 campaign, overseeing a 1-1 draw at MK Dons and a 2-1 defeat at home to Peterborough United.
Reeves refereed a total of 36 first-team games over the course of last season, mainly in Leagues One and Two, during which time he showed 110 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded ten penalties.
In nine games so far this season, six of which have come in League One, Reeves has issued 29 yellows, no reds and given two penalty kicks. His last game saw him referee Blackpool’s game at home to Reading in League One, which finished 4-1 to the Seasiders.
The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Oliver Bickle and Mark Cunliffe, whilst Johnathan Bickerdike will be the Fourth Official.
