Referee Ed Duckworth has been selected to take charge of Saturday’s League Two fixture between County and MK Dons at Stadium MK.
It will be the official’s first time refereeing a game involving County after being promoted from the National League over the summer, although he was the fourth official for our game against Bradford City at Edgeley Park last month. It will also be his first time overseeing a game involving Milton Keynes Dons.
Duckworth took charge of 19 first-team fixtures in all competitions last season, 17 of them coming in the Vanarama National League. In that time, he issued 69 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded three penalties.
Across five games in all competitions this season, he has so far shown 32 yellow cards, one red card and pointed to the penalty spot twice. His last game saw him take charge of Harrogate Town’s 2-1 EFL Trophy win over Nottingham Forest U21s on Tuesday 5th September.
The assistant referees at Stadium MK will be Adam Ricketts and Christopher Ward, whilst Anthony Da Costa will be the Fourth Official.
