Match Officials confirmed for trip to Tranmere

The match officials for Friday night’s League Two fixture away at Tranmere Rovers have now been confirmed, with the experienced Robert Madden selected to referee the game.

The Scot has spent the majority of his career refereeing north of the border in the SPL before moving into the English leagues over the Summer. He has also previously taken charge of several Champions League and Europa League fixtures, as well as officiating World Cup Qualifiers in the past.

He has taken charge of seven games so far in his first taste of English football, two in League Two, three in League One and two in the Carabao Cup. In that time he has shown 21 yellow cards, and three reds – sending two players off on the opening day of the season, when Bradford took on Doncaster.

This will be his first time refereeing either side. He will be assisted on the day by Richard Woodward and Paul Newhouse, whilst the fourth official on Friday will be Andrew Kitchen.
