The match officials for Saturday’s League Two fixture between County and Harrogate Town on Saturday have now been confirmed, with Ben Toner set to referee the game.
Toner refereed County on three occasions last season, most recently in our dramatic play-off semi-final second-leg victory over Salford City at Edgeley Park. He also oversaw our 5-0 win away at Hartlepool United, as well as a 0-0 draw with Gillingham at Edgeley Park.
The official refereed opponents Harrogate on one occasion last season, refereeing their 1-0 defeat at home to Salford City in September 2022.
That was one of 39 games he took charge of across all competitions last season, during which time he issued 128 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded ten penalties.
So far this campaign, Toner has refereed 20 games in all competitions, from the Championship down to League Two, showing 95 yellows, one red and awarding eight spot kicks. His last game came in League One last Saturday, as he oversaw Wigan Athletic’s 3-2 defeat at home to Stevenage.
The Assistant Referees at Edgeley Park will be Conor Brown and Paul Evans, whilst Christopher Ward will be on Fourth Official duties.
