Match Officials Confirmed | Mansfield Town (H)

Referee Daniel Middleton has been selected to take charge of Monday’s top of the table clash between County and Mansfield Town at Edgeley Park.

Middleton last refereed County during our National League title-winning campaign in 2021/22, overseeing our 2-0 win away at Dagenham and Redbridge and our crucial 1-0 win at home to Torquay United. It will be his first time refereeing opponents Mansfield, having been promoted to the EFL over the summer.

The official took charge of 19 first-team fixtures last season, including the National League Play-Off Quarter-Final between Boreham Wood and Barnet. In that time, he issued 60 yellow cards, eight red cards and awarded five penalties.

Across the 17 games he has taken charge of so far this season, Middleton has so far shown 48 yellows, three reds and pointed to the penalty spot five times. His last game came on Boxing Day in League One, as he refereed Leyton Orient’s 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic.

The Assistant Referees on New Year’s Day will be Matthew Sowerby and Ravel Cheosiaua, whilst Lewis Raper will be the Fourth Official.
