Will Finnie has been confirmed as the match referee for Saturday’s League Two fixture between Notts County and County at Meadow Lane.
Finnie has refereed County on three previous occasions, most recently in March 2022 when he oversaw our 3-0 win at Needham Market in the FA Trophy Quarter-Final. It will be his first time refereeing a game involving Notts County.
The official is now in his fifth season as an EFL referee, and took charge of 33 first-team fixtures over the course of last season. In that time, he issued a total of 103 yellow cards, one red card and awarded seven penalties.
Across the 27 games he has officiated so far this campaign, Finnie has shown 91 yellows, four reds and given five penalty kicks. His last game came in League One on Tuesday night, as he took charge of Barnsley’s 2-1 win over Carlisle United at Oakwell.
The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Andrew Aylott and Jonathon Block, whilst Gareth Viccars will be the Fourth Official.
