Referee Carl Brook has been appointed to take charge of Saturday’s League Two fixture between Stockport County and Swindon Town at Edgeley Park.
The official has refereed County three times previously, most recently for our 5-0 win over Wrexham at Edgeley Park back in September. Prior to that, he has overseen our 4-0 win over Newport County last season and a 2-2 draw with Bromley in the National League back in 2019. It will also be the second time Brooks has refereed Swindon this season, having also took charge for their 7-4 defeat at home to Aldershot Town in the Emirates FA Cup.
Brooks took charge of 36 games in all competitions last season, the majority of which came in League One, during which time he issued 131 yellow cards, three red cards and awarded seven penalties.
Across the 28 games he has overseen so far this campaign, the official has shown 121 yellows, two reds and given two penalty kicks. His last game was in League Two on Tuesday night, as he oversaw Walsall’s 3-0 win over Morecambe at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Graeme Fyvie and Lewis Raper, whilst Daniel Smith will be the Fourth Official at Edgeley Park.
