Alex Chilowicz has been confirmed as the match referee for Saturday’s League Two fixture between Tranmere Rovers and Stockport County at Prenton Park.
It will be the official’s first time refereeing County, having joined the EFL in the Summer following six seasons refereeing stateside in the MLS. It will also be his first time refereeing Tranmere Rovers.
Chilowicz took charge of 25 games in the MLS regular season in 2022/23, during which time he issued 93 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded nine penalties.
In his debut EFL season the American has overseen nine games so far, showing 34 yellow cards, no red cards, whilst he is yet to award a penalty kick. His last game came in League One last weekend, in charge for Exeter City’s 2-1 win away at Wigan Athletic.
The Assistant Referees at Prenton Park will be Bradley Hall and Ollie Williams, whilst Alex Gray will be the Fourth Official.
