Referee Simon Mather is set to take charge of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Sutton United at Edgeley Park.
Mather last refereed County during the 2020/21 season, overseeing draws against Altrincham and Aldershot Town as well as a 4-0 win against King’s Lynn Town.
He was promoted to the EFL at the end of that campaign and took charge of 32 games in all competitions last season, issuing 137 yellow cards and ten reds.
So far this campaign he has refereed ten games in League One (4), League Two (4), the Carabao Cup (1) and the Papa John’s Trophy (1), showing 36 yellows and no red cards.
He will be assisted on the day by Andrew Hendley and Lewis Raper, with Alex Gray the Fourth Official.
