County’s multi-award winning official matchday programme has won more silverware, after being crowned the best programme in non-league football at the prestigious annual Soccer Club Swap Shop Awards for the 2020-21 campaign.
Earlier in the week, County’s matchday programme scooped two prestigious accolades from the highly-respected Soccer Club Swap Shop national awards – lifting the National Non-League Programme of the Year crown for an amazing fifth successive season as well as first place in the National League Programme of the Year category, the sixth successive season County have won the divisional award.
County’s programme has been recognised for its slick design and wide-ranging content for many years – and this season has proved no different. As well as all the latest news from Edgeley Park, your programme team have successfully introduced a raft of new features such as the highly-popular musical column Rebellious Jukebox, interviewing former County players in Phoenix from the County Flames, recalling every player who has donned a County shirt in All Past Players, and The Mad Hatter’s Quiz.
Editor Keith Chapman, who has edited the County programme for the past seven seasons, was elated at yet another programme success.
Keith said: “We are immensely proud that the programme has received this wonderful recognition from the annual Soccer Club Swap Shop Programme Awards.
“This season has been difficult with the vast majority of home games being played behind closed doors, meaning that we were able to offer a free digital programme for supporters to read prior to kick-off.
“However, with restrictions continuing to ease and supporters being allowed back into Edgeley Park, we look forward to our fans being able to buy a copy of their printed programme and cheer the team on!
“To have been selected as the overall winner by the Soccer Club Swap Shop for the fifth year in a row is a fantastic achievement from everyone who has contributed and supported the programme throughout the season.
“There is a great deal of hard work, long hours and dedication that goes into producing each programme. As always, it is a real team effort and this award is another well-deserved recognition for their brilliant efforts throughout the campaign.”
In total, County’s programme has won 14 awards in the past six years.
