As part of the club’s 140th anniversary celebrations, we are pleased to confirm plans for a shirt exhibition to be held at Edgeley Park next week, in collaboration with the Stockport County Shirt Collection by Ben Walker.
The exhibition will consist of 58 shirts from throughout our modern-day history, each and every one of them unmissable, with their own unique story. From promotion-winning campaigns to shirts worn by legends such as Jim Gannon, Andy Preece and Alun Armstrong – there’s something for everyone to come down and enjoy, whilst learning more about our history.
The exhibition will officially be launched on Monday 24th July, in an open event that will be free for supporters to come and attend in The 1883 at Edgeley Park. The opening event will run from 6pm-8pm, giving you the chance to come and see the shirts up close, and hear from the owner of the world’s largest collection of Stockport County shirts, Ben Walker.
Subsequent afternoon and evening sessions will then be held on the Wednesday, Friday and Saturday that week, in the build-up to our 140th anniversary celebration game against Preston North End, on Saturday 29th July. Tickets for that game remain available to buy online now – click here to get yours today.
Opening times for the exhibition are as follows:
Monday 24th July – 6pm-8pm: Opening event with Ben Walker
Wednesday 26th July – 12pm-2pm & 6pm-8pm
Friday 28th July – 12-2pm
Saturday 29th July – 10am-12pm & available for supports on hospitality in the 1883
To confirm your place at one of our sessions, please book online in advance. The events are free to attend, but places are given on a first come, first serve basis.
