Quigley departs in permanent move

Striker Scott Quigley has today left the club in order to join National League side Eastleigh.

The 30-year-old leaves Edgeley Park having made 41 appearances for the club since signing from Barrow in 2021, during which time he scored ten times and won the National League title with in 2022.

Quigs will perhaps best be remembered for his performance in our unforgettable 5-3 victory over Bolton Wanderers in an FA Cup First Round replay, scoring twice that day as we overturned a 3-1 deficit against our League One opponents.

Having spent most of last season on loan at Rochdale, Scott now makes the move to Eastleigh, who finished 9th in the National League last season.

We’d like to thank him for his contribution and effort during his time with the club, particularly during our unforgettable title-winning season.
