Referee Andrew Kitchen has been selected as the referee for Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie against Walsall at Edgeley Park.
Kitchen actually refereed this same fixture in League Two back in October, when the two sides played out a 1-1 draw in SK3. It is his only time refereeing either side this season.
An EFL referee since 2021, he has taken charge of 19 games so far this season in League One (4), League Two (9), the Carabao Cup (2), FA Cup (2) and Papa John’s Trophy, issuing 43 yellow cards and one red card to date.
He will be assisted on the day by Gareth Viccars and Graeme Fyvie, whilst the Fourth Official will be Ruebyn Ricardo.
