Referee Ben Toner has been selected to take charge of Tuesday night’s League Two fixture between County and Gillingham at Edgeley Park.
The official has already refereed County once this season, overseeing our 5-0 win away at Hartlepool United in December. He last took charge of a game involving Gillingham in October 2021, a 2-2 draw for the Gills away at Bolton Wanderers in League Two.
Toner has been an EFL referee since 2015, taking charge of 32 games in all competitions last season with the majority coming in League One and League Two. During that time he issued 91 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded five penalites.
So far this season he has refereed 30 games, mostly in League One, showing 93 yellows, two reds and pointing to the penalty spot on six occasions.
He will be assisted on the day by Chris Isherwood & Gary Hilton, whilst the Fourth Official at Edgeley Park will be Paul Stonier.
