Andy Haines has been selected as the match referee for tomorrow’s game between County and Crawley Town at Edgeley Park.
Experienced referee Haines has been an EFL referee since the 2007/08 season, last refereeing County in a league fixture back in September 2010 – overseeing our 2-2 draw with Accrington Stanley at Edgeley Park. He also took charge of us for an FA Cup tie later that season, as we drew 1-1 with Peterborough United.
The official’s last game involving Crawley came in February of last year, in charge as the Red Devils won 3-1 away at Harrogate Town.
In total, he took charge of 34 games in all competitions last season, issuing 96 yellow cards, one red card and awarding six penalties. So far this campaign, he has refereed 21 games, mostly in League Two, showing 63 yellows, four reds and pointing to the spot on two occasions.
Haines will be assisted on the day by Conor Brown and Steven Rushton, whilst Bradley Hall will be the fourth official.
