Referee Watch: Reeves in charge on final day

Referee Tom Reeves has been selected to take charge of our final day clash with Hartlepool United at Edgeley Park, on a day that could see County promoted to League One.

It will be the second time that the official has refereed both County and Hartlepool this season, having been in charge for our 1-1 draw away at Crewe Alexandra in January, as well as for Hartlepool’s 3-1 home defeat to Carlisle United back in October. His last time refereeing at Edgeley Park came in August 2019, when County beat Chesterfield 2-0 at Edgeley Park in the National League.

Reeves is in his second season as an EFL referee, having took charge of 35 first-team fixtures last season during which time he showed 119 yellow cards, seven red cards and awarded three penalties.

Across 35 games in all competitions this campaign, he has shown 109 yellows, fours and pointing to the penalty spot eight times. His last game came in League One, as he oversaw Oxford United’s 3-0 win at Forest Green Rovers last Saturday.

He will be assisted on the day by Paul Stonier and Ravel Cheosiaua, whilst Thomas Kirk will be the Fourth Official.
