  • Neill Byrne
  • Bobby Jones

The following loan players have now returned to their parent club:

The following players have been released and have now left the Club:

  • Phil Bardsley
  • Jacob Davenport
  • Chris Hussey
  • Ryan Johnson

We would like to thank each departing player for all of their efforts during their time at Edgeley Park, contributing to a memorable first season back in the Football League.

We would particularly like to thank defender Ryan Johnson, who made 55 appearances for the club since joining from Port Vale last year and will always be remembered as an important part of the club’s 2021/22 National League title-winning team.

Director of Football, Simon Wilson said:

“On behalf of everyone at the club I’d like to thank all the playing group for their efforts this season.

“Collectively, we took ourselves very close to a historic second successive promotion. It wasn’t to be, but there will be achievements, memories and friendships that outlast this season.

“Many of this group will re-gather in late June and start preparing for next season, as we hope to use the 22/23 campaign as a springboard.

“For those leaving the club, we’d like to wish them good luck for their next step and say massive thank you for their sacrifices and efforts to help their teammates and the club.

“We go to great lengths to celebrate ALL players, and they are always welcome back at Edgeley Park.”
