In a season that saw us finish in our highest league position in ten years, and reach the third round of the Emirates FA Cup, the Club would like to thank every departing player for their contribution this season, and wish them well for the future.

The Club would also like to say a special thank you to two departing champions in Nyal Bell and Adam Thomas. Nyal made 88 appearances across three seasons at the Club, scoring 18 goals, whilst Adam scored 17 times in 152 appearances in a five year spell at Edgeley Park.

Both played a key role in the Club’s National League North title success of 2019, and we wish them every success in the future.

Director of Football Simon Wilson said:

“I’d like to thank all the players who have been part of our season for their contributions and commitment. As always, it has been a season full of twists and turns, highs and lows, and we mustn’t ever forget that players are at the front line of that and feel it more than most.

“Whether they have been in the team, out of the team; fit or injured, they have all played their part, driven each other, and collectively delivered a season that although didn’t achieve what we all dreamt about, gave us hope, and laid foundations for success in the future. On behalf of everyone at the club, we appreciate it.

“For those that are leaving the club, may we wish you the best for your next football adventure, wherever that takes you. We hope to a greater or lesser degree that your time with the club has given you connections and experiences that will benefit your future, and stories you will enjoy telling others about. You are always welcome back at Edgeley Park and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

“For those who are under contract and back in July, rest up, take stock, and lets go again. We have work to do”
