The Club can confirm that it has agreed terms with Richie Bennett to cancel his contract a year early, with the striker now departing Edgeley Park.
Richie, 30, joined County back in March 2020, signing from League Two side Port Vale and making one appearance in 2019/20 before the season was curtailed due to the Covid pandemic. The forward made a further 36 appearances for the Club last season, scoring four times in total.
All at Stockport County would like to thank Richie for his contribution to the Club during his time at Edgeley Park, and wish him well for the future.
