Stockport County and Robinsons are proud to announce that the Stockport-based brewery will again sponsor the Hatters’ alternate away shirt next season.
County Commercial Manager Simon Dawson said: “We are obviously delighted to have Robinsons on board, they are one of our key partners and it’s great to see how the relationship has flourished over the last three years.”
Robinsons returned to County in 2014 after a 12-year absence and have backed the club ever since.
Simon said: “Many big brands might have shied away from a team which had recently dropped out of the National League, but Robinsons are keen to be part of our football club’s revival and we’re delighted to be working with them once again in 2017/18.”
Ben Robinson is a Director of Sales for the family firm – he said: “We set up our original partnership during County’s glory days but we all feel there is a strong resurgence at the club, with good people involved at Board level and a fantastic manager at the helm in Jim Gannon.
“This extension of our sponsorship deal is a sign of our commitment to our home town and we look forward to working together with County as they get back where they belong.”
County Chairman Richard Park said: “Robbies is an iconic brand, particularly in this town, so it’s wonderful to have them involved with Stockport County again for the new season. We are grateful to Ben and the whole team at Robinsons for their continued support.”
County star Adam Thomas took a break from pre-season training to parade the new shirt and even had lessons on how to pull the perfect pint during the official launch at Robinsons Visitors’ Centre earlier this week.
The new shirt will make its debut in the home friendly against Preston North End this Saturday, and go on sale on Monday 17th July.
This shirt is semi-fitted, which means it has a small taper towards the centre but is NOT a tight fitting pro shirt. Sizes available are:
