We are pleased to confirm that former County striker Barney Daniels will be the special guest on hospitality for this weekend’s game at home to Yeovil Town in the National League.
Barney is a cult hero at Edgeley Park for his spell at the Club back in the 70s, scoring 19 goals in 52 appearances for the Club after joining from Chester in 1976. The forward also enjoyed spells at Manchester City and Ashton United.
A firm fan favourite during his time at the Club, this will be the 70-year-olds’ first return to Edgeley Park since leaving to return to Ashton, and he will be taking part in a Q&A session with Club President Steve Bellis ahead of kick-off.
