Left-sided defender, Ethan joined County in July 2021 at the age of 18, shortly after leaving Rochdale AFC where he had been part of their development squad.
He won the Youth Alliance League Cup during his time at Rochdale, with County seeing off competition from several other sides to secure the youngster’s services on a two-year-deal.
Ethan made his first-team debut for the club in October 2021, starting our National League game away at Weymouth and impressing at the back, in a 2-1 win for County.
He made a further two appearances against Dover and Bolton in the FA Cup, before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Spennymoor Town in the National League North.
The defender returned to the North-East for the 2022/23 campaign, enjoying a brilliant season on loan at National League side Gateshead. He made 39 appearances during his time with The Heed, helping them to reach the FA Trophy final at Wembley before being named as the club’s Players’ Player of the Year.
He has returned to Edgeley Park over the summer, to become a part of Dave Challinor’s first-team squad for the 2023/24 season.
