Ethan Ross - Goalkeeper

FIRST TEAM PLAYER

Player Profile

24-year-old goalkeeper Ethan joined the Club in the Summer of 2021 following the expiration of his contract at League One Lincoln City.

Ross spent the second half of the 2020/21 out on loan at fellow National League side Weymouth, impressing over his 26 appearances for the Terras and picking up the Club’s Supporters’ Player of the Year Award in the process.

Coming in at 6 ft 5 in, Ross began his career in the youth ranks of Arsenal and Cambridge United before joining West Brom in 2015. During his time at the Hawthorns, he enjoyed loan spells out a Worcester City and Redditch United, making 59 appearances in total.

After leaving West Brom, Ethan joined League Two side Colchester United on a two-year deal in 2018, before another short period out on loan at Maidstone in the National League.

April 2019 saw him make his EFL debut in a 1-1 draw with Yeovil, coming on as a substitute after Colchester’s other ‘keeper was sent off. He kept a clean sheet in the 40 minutes he was on the pitch, before keeping another from the start a week later in a 2-0 win over MK Dons.

Last Summer saw Ethan on the move again as he signed for League One side Lincoln City, making two appearances in the EFL Trophy before his successful spell at Weymouth – which included keeping a clean sheet against County in a 1-0 win for the Terras back in March.
