Former Derby County striker Jack Stretton is currently in his second spell at the Club, having re-joined us on a permanent deal in January 2023.
Jack first came to Edgeley Park in 2021, enjoying a successful loan spell in which he scored three times in five appearances in the National League, before being recalled by parent club Derby for their Championship campaign.
He broke into the Derby first-team under the management of former England star Wayne Rooney during the 2021/22 campaign, grabbing his first goal for the Rams in a Championship game against Peterborough United.
The 23-year-old had a short spell on loan at Carlisle United before joining County for an undisclosed fee. He featured a further 19 times in the 2022/23 season, scoring three times – including a crucial extra-time header against Salford City, that helped send County into the League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley.
His 2023/24 campaign was cruelly cut shot in pre-season, with an ACL injury suffered in training ruling him out for the entirety of our title-winning campaign.
