Myles Hippolyte - Midfielder

FIRST TEAM PLAYER

Player Profile

Versatile midfielder Myles joined County on a free transfer from League Two Scunthorpe United in January 2022, signing a deal until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old began his footballing career as a young pro at Brentford, before spending time in non-league with spells at Southall, Tamworth and Hayes and Yeading. Comfortable on both feet with the pace and trickery to take on opponents, he is capable of playing on the left-hand side or through the middle as a number 10.

In 2014, he made the move north of the border to join Scottish Championship side Livingston, and would go on to make over 200 appearances in Scottish Football for a range of clubs.

He won the Scottish Challenge Cup in 2015 during his time at Livingstone, and was part of the St Mirren side that won promotion to the Scottish Premier League in 2018 – either side of a successful spell at Falkirk that saw him score 15 goals in 66 appearances.

After a season at Dunfermline, Myles then returned to English football after joining Yeovil, following their relegation to the National League. He scored five times in 31 appearances for the Glovers as they reached the play-offs, before signing for Scunthorpe that Summer for an undisclosed fee.

Myles made his County debut as a substitute in a 1-0 win against Dover in February 2022, and scored his first goal for the club in a 1-0 FA Trophy win against Cheshunt at Edgeley Park. He went on to become a key part of County’s National League title win in 2021/22, playing 20 times in a variety of different positions, and scoring four goals.

Myles Hippolyte’s home sponsor is Ben & Andy Swapp and his away sponsor is Bruce and Charlie Lindley.
