Paul Turnbull - Midfield

Player Profile

Paul is in his fourth spell at Edgeley Park having rejoined the club from Chester in March 2018. Paul, originally a striker, has now clocked up more than 200 appearances for County and remains the youngest player ever to feature in a Football League game for the Hatters – he made his debut as a sub at Wrexham in 2005 at just 16 – he was still at school at the time. Paul, who famously rejected a move to Chelsea as a youngster, has also gained experience at Northampton, Macclesfield Town and Barrow. The Handforth man came through the ranks of County’s Centre of Excellence and first joined the club at the age of just eleven – by 21 he was the club captain.

Since returning to the Club for a fourth spell,Paul captained the side superbly in last seasons National League North title success, leading by example in the middle of the park – notching up his 200th County appearance en-route to lifting the title.
