Oldham-born Ryan, 20, joined the Club from Fleetwood having made 13 appearances in League One for the Cod Army after coming through their academy, signing a three-year-deal at Edgeley Park.
Capable of playing anywhere down the left-hand side, Ryan made his professional debut for Fleetwood at the age of just 17 away against Southend United back in September 2018.
He made his full EFL debut for the side just a few months later against Walsall, impressing enough to retain his place in the side over the next three games and drawing high praise from then manager Joey Barton.
He spent the second part of the 2019/20 season on loan at Lancaster City, making six appearances and scoring one before their season was cut short.
He made a further seven first-team appearances for Fleetwood in the 2020/21 season before making the move to County.
Ryan made his debut for the Club in April 2021, coming on as a substitute in a 4-0 win away at King’s Lynn Town. He scored his first goal for the Club in September 2021, a late winner against Wrexham at Edgeley Park.
Ryan’s form was something of a revelation following the appointment of manager Dave Challinor as he became a mainstay at left-wing-back, registering an incredible 14 assists in his 36 appearances in all competitions, winning the Club’s Young Player of the Year Award in our title winning season.
