Sam Walker - Midfielder

Player Profile

Cultured midfielder Sam joined the Hatters from Salford City in June 2017 on a two-year deal. He has enjoyed a glittering non-league career including back-to-back promotions at Curzon Ashton and an FA Trophy victory at Wembley during his time at Halifax. Sam started as a youngster at Oldham before joining Woodley Sports, but his career took off during four years at Curzon Ashton: 41 goals, more than 200 appearances and captaining the side to successive promotions, prompting a move to Halifax. Sam then returned to Curzon Ashton on loan for three months.

The following season, Sam Walker was back with a vengeance, playing a crucial role in County’s title-winning season in midfield, going on to win County’s Players Player of the year award to cap a sensational season.

Sam has since gone on to make his 100th appearance for the Club, reaching that total in our 1-0 win over Ebbsfleet United in February.
