Stockbridge to referee Friday’s game

Referee Sebastian Stockbridge has been selected to take charge of Friday night’s League Two fixture between County and Notts County at Edgeley Park.

It will be the second time this season that Stockbridge has overseen a game involving County, also in charge for our 1-1 draw at home to Bradford City in August. He has refereed us 11 times in all competitions since 2011, with the Hatters winning two, drawing three and losing six of those encounters. It will also be his second time refereeing Notts this season, having overseen their 4-3 win over Forest Green Rovers.

The official took charge of 34 games in all competitions last season, mostly in League One and League Two, during which time he issued 102 yellow cards, five red cards and awarded seven penalties.

Across the 19 games he has taken charge of so far this season, he has shown 101 yellows, one red and given 13 penalty kicks. His last game came in League Two last Saturday, as he oversaw MK Dons’ 2-0 win over Forest Green Rovers.

The Assistant Referees at Edgeley Park will be Jacob Lehane and Emmanuel Edet, with Stuart Morland on Fourth Official duties.
