As part of the expansion of our Armed Forces programme, Stockport County Community Trust is proud to launch The Naafi Break.
This brand-new social group for Veterans will take place every Thursday at Edgeley Park’s Pareto Lounge between 10am and 12pm, starting on Thursday 1st February. Any members of the Armed Forces community – Veterans, reserves or those currently serving – are more than welcome to attend.
This new initiative builds on the work that the Trust is already doing with the Armed Forces community in the local area, which includes the creation of a dedicated football team.
Thanks to a grant from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, The Naafi Break will enable Veterans to get together over free tea, coffee, and biscuits within a relaxed, safe and supportive environment. Over the course of the programme it is hoped that the group will branch out into other social activities, to be shaped and guided by The Naafi Break attendees. There will also be volunteering opportunities, allowing members of the Veterans community to share their knowledge and experience with others as well as representing the Club itself.
