200 Children Enjoy Summer Of Fun With County Community Trust’s HAF Programme
CCT’s Summer Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme has been a huge success with 200 young people accessing our provision throughout August at Dial Park Primary School, Offerton.
The HAF programme offered children who receive free school meals free holiday provision and food for 4 hours a day, 4 days a week for 4 weeks over the summer holidays.
The County Community Trust’s team of coaches together with a number of supporting partners delivered a mix of activities throughout the 4 weeks.
We collaborated with PIE (Pursuing Individual Excellence) to offer Stop-Motion Animation activities along with allowing some of our coaching team to support their HAF Programme. Network Rail delivered interactive safety sessions using their VR headsets which the children found fun whilst understanding the important safety messages being delivered.
During week three of the programme, all the children were transported from Dial Park Primary Schoon on the Stockport County first team coach for a day at Edgeley Park! Fun activities were delivered throughout the day along with two of our players, Ryan Rydel and Callum Camps making a special appearance and supported the coaches at lunch time!
Every child received with a free lunch pack at every day along with snacks and refreshments throughout.
On the last day of our summer programme, the children and staff were treated to some special treats with the arrival to their own Ice Cream van for the afternoon to finish of an action packed four weeks of summer provision by the County Community Trust. Everyone also received a free family activity pack which had a number of low-cost meals/activities for families to try over the coming weeks.
