Dave Challinor has made nine changes for tonight’s Papa John’s Trophy tie against League One Shrewsbury Town at Edgeley Park.
Both teams have already been eliminated from the competition, having lost their opening two games against Port Vale and Wolves U21s.
Ben Hinchliffe starts in goal, behind a back three of Akil Wright, Ash Palmer and Ryan Johnson, who is one of only two players to retain his place from Saturday alongside Ryan Croasdale.
James Brown and Calum MacDonald are the wing-backs, either side of Croasdale, Elliot Newby and Connor Evans – Ollie Crankshaw partners Connor Jennings up top.
On the bench, goalkeeper Bobby Jones and Cody Johnson are joined by academy trio Keane Barugh, Ashton Mee and Jack Kenny.
