Ben Hinchliffe will equal Tiger Bowles’ record for the most appearances of any Stockport County goalkeeper this afternoon against Tranmere Rovers, as he makes his 306th appearance in goal for the Hatters.
Dave Challinor makes just one change to the side that drew with Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night as Myles Hippolyte comes in for Ryan Johnson, who misses out through illness.
The change sees Chris Hussey move into the back three, alongside Neill Byrne and Akil Wright, whilst Myles slots in at left-wing-back.
Kyle Knoyle starts on the right-hand side, with a midfield three of Will Collar, Ryan Croasdale and Callum Camps.
Paddy Madden captains the side once again, starting up front alongside Tuesday night’s goalscorer, Kyle Wootton. Deadline day signings Aaron Rowe and Joe Grayson are both on the bench this afternoon, as is Isaac Olaofe who returns from injury.
