One of County’s newest sponsors this season is The Italian in Romiley.
They have gone all out to support the Hatters this season, sponsoring a player and a match ball as well as buying an additional billboard and taking out an advert in the club’s schools’ brochure.
Located in the
heart of Romiley, The Italian has been proudly run by Ferdinando Mercogliano
for more than two decades now. They have daily specials, special offers and can
accommodate group bookings, too.
Ferdinando said: “We are proud to support Stockport County both as fans and
commercially, it’s a great club which really is at the heart of the community,
with incredible loyal supporters. Our manager Alex is part of the Blue &
White Army, having been home and away with County for over 20 years.
“We are based just down the road in Romiley, offering traditional rustic
Italian cooking, and it’s always great having County fans in and chatting about
football. Here’s to many more years supporting Stockport County, both on the
pitch and off it!”
County’s Commercial Manager Simon Dawson said: “The relationship with The
Italian has really blossomed, and we recently held our first ever Sponsors
Networking Club at the restaurant, for sponsors to link with the club and
network with potential new clients.
“The Business Club events will be bi-monthly and Alex provided a perfect venue
for our first event.”
