After all 5,000 tickets in the away end for our trip to Bolton in the FA Cup have now sold out, we have been provided with the following travel information for supporters planning to travel to the game on the train.
Northern have confirmed that on the 6th and 7th November there is engineering work on the line between Bolton and Preston. This means that there will be no trains running from Bolton to Horwich Parkway, the nearest station to the ground, until 14:00 – although there is a rail replacement bus service in place.
The first and only train to Horwich in time for kick-off is the 14:21 service from Bolton, taking only eight minutes. County fans can also board this service from Manchester – it leaves Manchester Piccadilly at 14:01.
Post-match, the trains are running as normal with a Sunday service of one train per hour back towards Bolton and Manchester at 16:45, 17:45 and 18:45.
