Vernon Building Society sign new sponsorship deal

The Club are delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with long-standing partner Vernon Building Society.

Vernon will sponsor the Junior Supporters Club, a club that plays a key role for the younger generation of fans.

The Junior Supporters Club caters for children up to 14 years old and provides a destination for families to meet on matchdays at Edgeley Park. The club offers a tuck shop and matchday entertainment including appearances from the players and the real star of the show County’s mascot, Vernon Bear. The Junior Supporters Club will be getting a revamp over the next 12 months as part of the Club’s on-going investment programme.

Vernon Building Society CEO, Steve Fletcher said:

“Vernon Building Society has always had a very strong relationship with Stockport County Football Club and we are proud that our wonderful Vernon Bear will continue to be Stockport County’s beloved mascot.”

“Whilst the exciting changes at County have meant our sponsorship arrangement has also changed, we are pleased to continue to provide our support to the club and are looking forward to supporting the Junior Supporters Club Programme dedicated to County’s young supporters.”

Stockport County Chief Executive, Jonathan Vaughan said:

“Vernon Building Society has been a longstanding partner of the Club for many years, more recently they have featured as a sponsor on our County Live Stream. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Vernon Building Society for their continued support over the years and we look forward to continuing the journey with them.”
