Yates to referee Salford game

The match officials for Tuesday night’s League Two fixture between County and Salford City have now been confirmed, with Ollie Yates set to referee the game at Edgeley Park.

It will be the fifth time Yates has officiated a game involving County since the start of last season, having overseen us last season against Barrow (home and away) and at Leyton Orient, as well as in our defeat to Mansfield back in August. His last game involving Salford came in April, in charge for their 2-0 win over Hartlepool United in League Two.

He refereed 35 games in all competitions last season, the majority of which came in League One and League Two. In that time, Yates issued 138 yellow cards, one red card and awarded two penalties.

Across 15 games so far this season, the official has issued 64 yellow cards, five red cards and given four penalty kicks. His last game came at Fratton Park in League One on Saturday, as he oversaw Portsmouth’s 4-0 defeat against Blackpool.

The Assistant Referees at Edgeley Park will be Alex Gray and Stephen Wade, whilst Lisa Rashid will be the Fourth Official.
