Head of Football Education Michael Raynes has given his verdict on an incredible term, and what is to come in the next:
“I feel it’s been an amazing term, both football and education wise. On the football side of the course, we are competing at the top end of the table in every competition and are progressing well in the cup competitions.
The second-year students have built on their impressive first year with the programme and are reaping the rewards of their hard work with the results they are getting. We have a lot of second-year students experiencing non-league football, as well as playing for the Football Education programme, which is great experience for them.
The new first-year students have come into the building like a breath of fresh air and have been impressive in the way they have adapted to full-time football; we are really excited to work with them over the rest of the season.
We have a lot of big plans for the new year and are excited to get the lads back in and build on what has been an impressive first term.”
