Academy celebrate International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day!

To celebrate this years International Women’s Day, we will be sharing some news on our Girl’s Academy, plus we take a look at some of the women working in sport here at the Academy.

First of which is Lucy Connell, Lucy is our lead teacher here at the Academy and is responsible for ensuring teaching and learning are delivered to a quality standard. She also manages all of the curriculum design as the lead teacher, while also being responsible for all of the internal verification for the submitted work. In addition, Lucy plays a major role in the development of the teaching staff members at the Academy.

Next up is Tanya Audas, Tanya is our lead Sports Rehabilitator here at the Academy and is responsible for overseeing the medical department. She covers different areas such as injury prevention, sports rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Tanya is our longest serving female staff member at the Academy, and has been integral in the development of the medical and sport science departments.

Finally we have Georgia Greenhalgh, Georgia is our assistant Sports Rehabilitator here at the Academy and our newest female staff member. She works within the medical department alongside Tanya, and covers different areas such as sports rehabilitation, gym sessions and match day physiotherapy! Georgia has also recently graduated from the University of Salford with a BSc Sports Rehabilitation degree.
