Ash Palmer has capped a great season at the back for County by being voted as the Club’s Player of the Year award.
Picking up just short of 50% of the supporter’s vote, victory makes it a double for Ash, who was also voted as the Players’ Player of the season – the first County player to pick up both awards in the same season.
After playing a crucial role in last season’s title success, the former Guiseley and North Ferriby man has made the step up to the National League look seamless, playing 38 games in all competitions.
Not only contributing with colossal displays in defence, Ash has also continued his knack of scoring crucial goals for the Hatters, scoring six this season, all of which helped gain the Hatters an additional nine points in total this season.
Goals in our final three games of the season helped gain us an extra five point that proved crucial in helping the Hatters finish the campaign in seventh and in the final Play-Off place.
The man with the magic hat as reaffirmed his status as a fan favourite in the stands and one of the first names on the manager’s teamsheet on the field, often captaining the side in Paul Turnbull’s absence.
Congratulations on the award and an unbelievable season Ash!
