Stockport County are celebrating Oktoberfest in style this year with a Bavarian takeover of the County Courtyard on Saturday, ahead of our game against Tranmere Rovers.
The event, Prost, Danke, of course gets its name from manager Dave Challinor’s post-match catch phrase, “Cheers, Thank You”.
To mark the occasion, the family-friendly event will see the County Courtyard turn into a German-style bierkeller, with incredible Bratwursts supplied by Manchester favourites Grandad’s Sausages, along with a special German beer from partner brewery, Runaway.
The Runaway Wegbier is a German style Pale Ale with an ABV of 4.2% which will be served from the bottle bar. To top it off, at the Blue and White Tap bar, visitors will also be able to get their hands on two-pint steins of their favourite beer.
As well as plenty of blue and white traditional décor brining the courtyard to life, there’ll be Bavarian beats and pre-match interviews with County’s players. Fans are invited to join the celebrations, wearing their favourite lederhosen along with their County colours.
Club COO, Tom Mahon said:
“The County Courtyard has been an incredible addition to matchdays at Edgeley Park, giving County fans a place to soak up the atmosphere. This week we’re doing things a little differently, creating our very own Oktoberfest celebrations and we’d love for you to come down and join us.”
