Striker Billy Chadwick has today joined National League side Gateshead on a season-long loan deal.
The forward moved to Edgeley Park this Summer from Championship side Hull City, following a highly productive loan spell at Boston United last season.
Having spent pre-season training at Carrington, Billy now makes the temporary move to Gateshead in order to experience regular first-team minutes next season – an important step in his development, as he looks to continue the progress he has made since recovering from a serious knee injury two years ago.
By joining the Heed he follows in the footsteps of Ethan Pye, who enjoyed a successful loan deal with the North-East club last season, winning their Players’ Player of the Year award before returning to Edgeley Park this summer.
We wish Billy the best of luck during his loan spell, and look forward to watching his progress closely over the next few months.
