Club Statement: Inappropriate Chanting

Stockport County is aware of reports regarding inappropriate chanting from a small group of visiting supporters during Saturday’s EFL Sky Bet League One fixture against Cambridge United.

These reports were originally made by Cambridge United fans and have been investigated by both clubs, along with the EFL, over the past week.

Our priority is to ensure all fans feel safe, welcome, and able to enjoy the best possible matchday experience at Edgeley Park.

We understand that not everyone feels comfortable raising concerns in person. For this reason, a dedicated Support Liaison team can be contacted, by home and away supporters by texting 60777, starting your message with “SCFC.”

If you have any information or were affected by the inappropriate chanting, please contact us at [email protected]

Stockport County is a proud inclusive community club with a zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour, at home or away, that threatens this welcoming environment.

This is embodied through the principles of our Equality Campaign ‘County Collective’ – the Club is driven by progression and the values of community, humility and togetherness.
