Following consultation with both GMP and the EFL, we can confirm that there will be spotchecks taking place at Edgeley Park ahead of Saturday’s game against Rochdale, in order to prevent pyrotechnics from being brought into the stadium.
Specially trained sniffer dogs will be in place around the ground on the day, to detect any concealed pyrotechnics upon entry to Edgeley Park. Amnesty points will also be available close to the entrances.
We’d like to remind supporters that there is a zero-tolerance policy across football in the UK regarding the use of pyrotechnics at games, including at Edgeley Park, and anyone found attempting to bring them into the stadium having passed the amnesty points will have these items confiscated and be denied entry.
