Midfielder Cody Johnson has today joined National League side Rochdale AFC on a youth-loan deal for the 2023/24 season.
The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for County in an FA Trophy tie against Cheshunt in 2022, winning the Man of the Match award on the day, and has gone on to make a further four appearances for Dave Challinor’s side.
Cody spent the second half of last season on loan at Banbury United, earning high praise and positive feedback from his time at the National League North side.
The next step of his development sees him head to the Crown Oil Arena, where he will play under the management of former County defender Jim McNulty. Rochdale are currently preparing for their first season at National League level, following relegation from the EFL last season.
We wish Cody the best of luck during his move, and look forward to seeing his development over the next 12 months.
