The County Community Trust is delighted to announce County’s new Veterans Active Group, starting Monday 20th March at the Power League Centre, Heaton Mersey, 10.30am – 12.30pm.
In partnership with the Royal British Legion and Walking with the Wounded, County Community Trust will support and engage veterans participating in the programme.
Veterans who want to improve their physical activity levels can participate in the free programme, which focuses on enjoying active lifestyles and gaining confidence while being active.
Activities on offer include:
- Chair based exercises
- Low level exercises
- Walk and talk
- Football
We recognise the importance and wider benefits of the veteran sessions. As there are currently 20,000 veterans living in Stockport, we want to give them the opportunity to get involved with their local football club through this programme.
